As an affiliate club, the Tacoma City Association of Colored
Women’s Clubs, Inc. (Tacoma CWC) is located in Tacoma,
Washington. The Club is made up of four clubs that carry out
services within the Tacoma Hilltop and surrounding areas. The
Association consists of the Asberry Culture Club, Future Sevens,

Together the four clubs make up the organization and respond to
multiple and evolving service needs within the community.
Each club meets monthly, pay annual dues, participates on
committees and programs, and helps to elect a Board of Directors
who govern based on by-laws set forth by its membership.
Tacoma CWC members are enriched by the continuing opportunity
to interact and network with national, regional, and state leaders of
over 200 women's organizations.
As Tacoma CWC has grown, the value of this interaction has
become widely respected - resulting in policies, positions and
actions that have helped women and families locally and
nationwide. We all agree the Association is stronger for having a
permanent coalition facilitating women’s groups working together
to create a unified voice for change.
The Tacoma CWC welcomes all women from varying and diverse
backgrounds, age groups, religious affiliations and education
backgrounds.
What We Do
